Delicious Chess Squares

What you'll Need:

  • 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 3 Eggs
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 4 C. Powdered Sugar
Preheat oven to 300 and spray a 9x13 baking pan.
Mix cake mix, melted butter and one egg to form a dough.
Press the dough into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
Mix the powdered sugar, softened cream cheese, and remaining 2 eggs, until smooth. About 1-2 minutes. Then pour on top of the crust.

Bake at 300 for 40-50 minutes or until top is golden brown.

After the 50 minutes was up, I wasn't convinced that the center was all the way cooked through, so I cranked up the heat to 325 and cooked for about 5-10 more minutes. I also have a gas stove though so sometimes I have to alter the temperature.

These highly resemble gooey butter cakes, and are amazingly delicious! I cut mine in regular squares, then cut the squares in 4 to make bite size pieces, which worked really well.
Once again, thanks for following me! Let me know if you tried these and how you liked them. Also, if you had to change anything in the recipe!

Namaste!
