Homemade Pore Minimizing Face Mask

This is a homemade face mask recipe. I use this face mask after a hot bath or shower. Because it is meant to clean out and minimize your pores, it's best if your pores are open. Very simple to do and only takes 10 seconds to make.

What you'll Need:

  • 1/2 tsp. Gelatin
  • 1/2 tsp. Milk

First you'll need to mix the milk and the gelatin. A good proportion is important. I mix just enough for my face. Note: I don't cover my entire face. I cover my chin area, nose area, and t-zone. I usually have a little extra so I do my cheekbones. For a good mixture, the thinner, more runny the mix is, the harder it will be to peel off. I use equal parts of Gelatin and milk, that seems to be the prefect mixture. You can play around with it to get it to your liking. I get the boxes of gelatin that have a few packages in them, they cost less than a dollar at the store. I open one package at a time and store it in a small ziplock because that little pouch will last you a few mixtures. Once you have your mixture made it should look something like the picture below.

This is where you need to act fast! Once it's mixed and looks a little clumpy, you need to get it into the microwave quick. I microwave for literally 6 seconds! Too long and it will cook, which you don't want. Too short and it won't work. You need that heat and stickiness from the gelatin. Once microwaved it will look a little more like a face mask, looking similar to the picture below.

From here, you run, yes run, into the bathroom and start spreading on your pores. You want a good layer over your intended areas, but don't keep clopping it on over and over. One good layer is enough. Let sit for 15 minutes, or until you feel it has hardened.
In the meantime, try to not move your face. No smiling, no talking, etc. If your moving around you won't be able to see your results at the end. When your ready to take off, you just simply peel off the mixture. Start with an area and peel carefully. This is important for seeing results. If your caressing ripping it off, you will ruin the results. Carefully peel from one side to the other and before you even put it down, check to see the results. You will be impressed. My results are pictured below.
You can see all the blackheads that were removed. Kinda gross, but reality!
Let me know if you try this and how it works out for you. Be prepared: It does not feel pleasant peeling that stuff off your sensitive face, so don't get too close to your eyes! It also isn't the best smelling stuff in the world, but your face feels great afterwards. Also, I only use this mixture about twice a week. Good Luck!
Namaste!
